Pricing Analyst – Lakeville, MN

Purpose: The Pricing Analyst will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day aspects related to customer pricing and programs, maintenance of pricing libraries and a Tiered Dealer Discount Structure. This person will report to the Sr. Pricing Analyst and will work closely with the marketing, sales, and operations teams within the company. They will be responsible for verifying all inputs used within the ERP and ensuring customer pricing is accurately maintained. The analyst will be focused on maintaining the integrity of both pricing inputs (cost) and pricing outputs (list price). The analyst will be the key contact for setting up new items in the ERP, maintaining the relationship between supplier price lists and company pricing, as well as provide team members pricing information upon request. The analyst will strive to understand the relationship between their efforts and the surrounding team leading to the ability to see the bigger picture as well as the fine details.

Knowledge, Skills and Responsibilities:

  • Calculate and update prices using established pricing logics in the Company’s ERP systems ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Maintain consistency between Supplier provided information and Edney’s ERP Item Master Database including: cost, descriptions, item number changes, and the discontinuation of items
  • Generate price sheets keeping the pricing aligned with changes from suppliers
  • Conduct periodic assessments to identify opportunities to increase margin
  • Contribute to special projects including: compiling competitive information, updating back-freight or setup rates, etc.
  • Work closely with various members of sales, operations, and marketing teams to support ad-hoc projects via data analysis generally related to pricing
  • Assist in the review and maintenance of integrated ERP/online content ex. item number, pricing, and descriptions
  • Explore ways to maximize the capability of the ERP system
  • Assist with generating reports including: monthly and annual financial reports, budget and forecasts, purchasing and inventory reports, and customer or product history reports requested by the sales team or operations managers
  • Knowledge of statistical methods and data analysis
Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, statistics, computer science, or similar required
  • Minimum of 1+ year experience in a professional setting focused on finance, accounting, analytics, or pricing
  • Self-starting, proactive individual with professional verbal and written communication skills, ability to solve problems, and exceptional attention to detail
  • Proficient in MS Office products with knowledge of Excel required
  • SQL experience a plus
  • Comfortable working with large datasets
  • Organized, detail orientated
  • Growth mindset, naturally curious life-long learner
  • Previous experience in B2B pricing a plus
