Edney Distributing Recaps a Great Dakotafest 2026

Edney Distributing was proud to be part of Dakotafest in Mitchell, South Dakota, August 17–19, 2026. With more than 400 exhibitors showcasing agriculture-focused products, services, and technologies, Dakotafest continues to be a great place for farmers, ag professionals, and industry partners to connect, share ideas, and talk about what’s next.

Balers were a hot topic throughout the show, fueled in part by recent trends and discussions across social media. Farmers are looking closely at equipment that can help them get more done while also standing up to the demands of their operations year after year.

That made McHale balers a natural focus of many conversations at the Edney Distributing booth.

McHale has built a reputation around productivity and longevity, two qualities that matter when hay season is busy and equipment needs to perform. Visitors had the opportunity to learn more about the capabilities of McHale balers and discuss how the equipment can fit into their operations.

The interest we saw reinforced an important point: farmers aren’t simply looking for equipment that can get the job done today. They’re looking for machines that can deliver consistent performance and provide value over the long haul.

Dakotafest is built around business and powered by partnerships, and this year’s show was a great reminder of the value of face-to-face conversations.

There’s something different about talking equipment in person, sharing experiences, asking questions, and discussing the challenges farmers face in the field. These conversations help us better understand what producers are looking for and allow us to connect the right equipment and solutions with their needs.

Beyond the equipment itself, Dakotafest provided an opportunity to connect with customers, industry partners, and fellow agriculture professionals from across the region.

We appreciate everyone who stopped by the Edney Distributing booth at Dakotafest and took the time to visit with our team. Whether you came to talk balers, learn more about McHale, or simply catch up with us, we enjoyed the conversations.

Events like Dakotafest are a great opportunity to showcase the products and technology helping move agriculture forward—and, just as importantly, to listen to the people doing the work.

From the strong interest in balers to the conversations about productivity, durability, and long-term value, Dakotafest 2026 was a great show for Edney Distributing.

We look forward to taking those conversations and partnerships into the field.

Thank you again to everyone who participated. We look forward to the next opportunity to learn and grow together.
